79th Meridian Marketing was founded by advertising executive Stewart Barton in 2018.

Stewart made a name for himself early in his career as a Toronto based advertising executive working on major brands like Starbucks in Toronto & New York City, the Toronto Blue Jays and Molson Coors Brewery.

Over the next 20 years Stewart would become an expert marketer in driving transactions, especially in the space of ticket sales with experience helping run the marketing for several major Broadway, Off-Broadway, Las Vegas, Toronto and National touring concerts and theatrical shows.

Using the latest marketing techniques Stewart looks forward to help you determine the right media mix and messaging for your business, delivering amazing, measurable results.

HISTORY

In Stewart’s most recent role as the Director of Marketing & Communications for regional mid-sized pizza chain Topper’s Pizza, he began a re-brand focused on premium messaging, along with a transition to a digitally focused marketing strategy complete with a new on-line ordering system, ordering APP, digital loyalty program, focus on digital marketing.  After just 5 months with the company, Stewart was also put in charge of the 60 person call centre so that he could improve the company’s customer service by integrating the on-line and phone ordering systems.

Prior to Topper’s Pizza, in 2007 Stewart was recruited by renowned marketing guru Len Gill to be his partner in helping to launch and grow his newly formed ad agency Twenty6two Int’l Inc.  Over the next 10 years, along with Marilyn Sherman who they brought onto their team a few years later once the agency had hit its stride, they grew Twenty6two into a very successful boutique agency with over 2 dozen hi-profile clients.  Stewart was also instrumental in the agency winning 2 awards for their work on Plan Canada’s Because I Am a Girl campaigns.

From 2004-2007 Stewart worked at Mediaedge in Toronto as a Broadcast Supervisor on the Molson Coors and Molson Indy accounts, handling all of English Canada.  Stewart’s embracing of new media and digital radio led the agency/Molson Coors to 3 Media Innovation Awards.

And finally, we get to where it all began.  From 1999-2004 Stewart cut his teeth at an amazing agency called Echo Advertising which employed almost 200 people at its peak.  This is where he first worked for Len Gill, as well as Len’s partners Barry Avrich and Steve Pulver, all of whom Stewart had the pleasure of working directly with, and learning from.

At Echo Stewart worked on Starbucks – primarily handling their NYC market, the Toronto Blue Jays, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, SFX/Clear Channel/CPI Concerts and Thinkfilm.
